2013 China LED lights will exceed two million shipments

According to the existing statistical classification of Engineering LED Industry Institute (GLII) the LED outdoor functional lighting divided into three categories, namely, lights, tunnel lights, and other functional lighting. Other functional lighting products mainly include garden, pole and high power flood light, etc..

From mainland China outdoor functional lighting ownership point of view, street lights, garden lights to maintain the largest, followed by the pole and high power flood light, and finally the tunnel lights. As part of the public street and the garden are mostly lighting field, so the development is faster than earlier.

Outdoor lighting market reached 8.2 billion yuan

According to Engineering LED Industry Institute (GLII) statistics show that in 2012 China's LED outdoor functional lighting market reached 8.2 billion yuan, an increase of 61%.

Margins, although the price has dropped significantly, but due to decline in prices of raw materials are synchronized, the LED outdoor functional lighting margin does not appear significantly reduced. GLII survey data show that in 2012 China's LED outdoor functional lighting product gross margin is still more than 25%.

GLII expects 2013 LED outdoor functional lighting market will reach 11.6 billion yuan, an increase of 41%. Main driving factors include:

2012 Guangdong introduction of LED lighting products to promote the program. Field of public lighting street lamps, garden lights, landscape lights is also the focus of the transformation. GLII statistics show that in 2013 Guangdong LED lights installed capacity will be more than 1.1 million.

Central six ministries led semiconductor lighting products financial subsidies to promote the project orders will also be in 2013 focused on the release. Including LED lights, LED tunnel lights plan to install number 880000.

Ten City, ten thousand project orders released. Although the city of ten thousand implementation of phase effect is not ideal, but in the second stage, the introduction of a number of cities still give strong support to promote the program. LED lights installed capacity reached 1,000,000

Since 2008, the Chinese mainland cities in the number of road lighting show rapid growth. National Bureau of Statistics released data show ,2008-2011 average annual increase in the amount of 1.39 million. As of the end of 2011, Chinese mainland city road lighting number reached 19.49 million, the annual compound growth rate of 8.9%.
