Use LED high bay light to upgrading furniture factory 400W metal halide high bays

I am interested to change my furniture factory lights with LED lights. What your recommend to use if our lights are 5-6 meter high and its furniture factory where workers make montage and other job not just warehouse.

Our room is 24 x 36 meters. 6 meters high  are to constructions, but to ceiling more 2 meters. Total height is 8 meters where we can but lights, what is better to use higher or lower place for lamps?

What can we do? 

First, we need to know the standard lux level for furniture factory. We can study from industrial lux level standards for furniture factory, it is 300-500lx for workshop lighting, 150lx for warehouse lighting.

Second, use lighting simulation software DiaLux or DiaLux EVO to make a lighting simulation for the furniture factory. If customer could provide dwg file for the construction will be perfect, if no, we already get the information, also could work.

Total 20pcs 400W metal halide high bay in current furniture factory. Use 150W LED high bay light simple point to point replace 400W high bay more than enough to provide 400lx on the working area.

How to calculate the power consumption for my lights?

This is simply the number of luminaries multiplied by the number of watts for your type of fixture. For example if you have 20pcs 400Watt HID high bay fixtures in your garage, you can simply multiply the following:

20 fixtures x 454kWh =9,080 Watts

How many kilowatts?

Now take your total watts and divide by 1000 to get your total kilowatts. Using the example from above:

9,080 Watts /1000= 9.08 Kilowatts

How many house are you lights on every year? We turn ON-OFF 250 times per year and need to use 2500 hours per year.

 2500hrs per year =10 hours per day

To find total kilowatt/hours (kWh) we multiply:

9.080 kilowatts x 2500hours per year = 22700 kWh

What is the cost of your Energy? The cost for one kilowatt-hour is very high, about 0.2869 Euro, it is about US$0.31818.

 22700 x 0.31818 = 7772.686 USD per year in annual energy costs

How to calculate the payback? The cost of each LED lamp plus shipping cost and import VAT.
